What do I Need to Begin?

Make an appointment with your eye doctor at least every 2 years. It’s very important that your eye health is monitored. We cannot stress this enough. Eye health, eye health, eye health, eye health. (Ok, I guess we can stress it enough.)

Online retailers of prescription eyeglasses have definitely cut into the business of eye-doctors and opticians. Like many businesses that have been affected by the internet – many are not too happy about it. Still, they are health-care professionals and are dedicated to making sure you see correctly. If you tell them you are getting your eyeglasses online, many doctors will offer to have you come back to have the glasses adjusted if necessary. This is good business as well, because then you will be happy with them and continue to get your eyes examined there. You might even suggest that to them, you know, that you are helping them to “not lose their patients” (Ouch!)

Make sure to ask for the PD (Pupillary Distance) – (See What Is A PD? for more info.)
