What Is A PD?

The PD (Pupillary Distance) – just remember, "Pupil Distance" – is the space between the two black dots in your eyes. It is an important measurement because it helps make sure the focus of your lens is right exactly in line with each of your eyes

Make sure to ask for it when you get your prescription.

Doctors may not always put the PD on your prescription as they might assume you will get your glasses at their office.

You can ask for the PD though and…because you paid for the exam, are a good customer and they will want you back for your next checkup – they will most-likely write it on the prescription for you.
