Frame Sizing And Fitting

It might seem odd to purchase a pair of glasses online because you can't try them on...but it is actually very easy to find the right size of frame for your face.

The concept is simple. You want to compare the glasses that you already wear to those that you are going to purchase from us. (You can use sunglasses or readers if you have never worn prescription glasses before)

You will find the measurements for each frame on our site on the Details Page a.k.a., the "Fill In Your Info" page for that frame (e.g. frame width, lens height, lens width). There are little pictures like these that show you the size of our frame so you can compare it to your current frame.

If you look on the inside arm of your current glasses, you will see 3 numbers like in the example above. You can use our advanced search to look for glasses in this range if you like – BUT, the easiest way is to go to the bottom of the Narrow Your Search page and choose a size range – Small, Medium or Large. That will get you plenty of frames in your size from which to choose.

You can also use a milimeter ruler and measure the width. Then use that number to find your S, M or L frames. (See? Really simple.)

Here are a couple of tips...

The total frame width is the best guide to get a great fit. Simply get the frame width measurement from the glasses you are interested in, get a ruler and go to the mirror – then see if that same measurement looks good on your face.

If you want to go nuts and read all the details about fitting, and they are detailed, lemme tell ya, then check out the FAQ page. There is plenty of info to help you figure out the size and shape of your head. (Hmmmmm. That might have not come out right.)
